Let me introduce myself: I am 50 years old and come from the Netherlands. We have been living in the Portuguese province of Alentejo since December 2007, on a small farm together with our two dogs and two donkeys. The surroundings are beautiful and the local people are very friendly. Life in Alentejo suits us perfectly.

I create splendid summer and winter shawls from sheep fleece in all colours of the rainbow. I also make a range of felt jewellery, bags and berets. The opportunities with felt are endless and I will no doubt expand my range of products in the future.

This natural material is lovely to wear during both summer and winter.
